Job Title: Cooling Truck Supervisor

Overview:
As a Cooling Truck Supervisor, you will oversee the operations of cooling trucks, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of perishable goods while maintaining optimal cooling conditions. You will be responsible for managing a team of cooling truck drivers, coordinating schedules, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Leadership:
• Lead and supervise a team of cooling truck drivers, providing guidance, support, and direction.
• Assign tasks, schedule shifts, and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate training as necessary to maintain high standards of performance.
• Operational Management:
• Oversee the loading and unloading of perishable goods onto cooling trucks, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols.
• Monitor and maintain cooling systems to ensure consistent temperatures throughout transportation, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Coordinate with logistics teams to plan routes, optimize delivery schedules, and minimize delays or disruptions.
• Quality Assurance:
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to safeguard the integrity of perishable goods during transportation.
• Conduct inspections of cooling trucks and equipment to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Address any quality or safety concerns promptly and effectively, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including food safety standards, transportation laws, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, temperature logs, maintenance activities, and other relevant documentation.
• Prepare reports on operational performance, KPIs, and compliance metrics for management review.
• Customer Service:
• Interface with customers to coordinate deliveries, address inquiries, and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
• Foster positive relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service and meeting their expectations consistently.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in transportation, logistics, or related fields.
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of cooling systems, refrigeration technology, and food safety regulations.
• Familiarity with transportation management software and systems for route optimization and tracking.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to ensuring quality, safety, and compliance.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and clean driving record may be required.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₦350,000.00 - ₦400,000.00 per month
